Someone who writes a play is called a "playwright." A "wright" is someone who makes, constructs or repairs--in other words, a craftsperson. When you're writing a play, it's important just to get that first draft out and onto your computer or notepad. That's your initial burst of inspiration, and you don't want to censor it or worry about whether or not it's right yet. You'll have plenty of time to shape and craft it later. That's what rewrites are for. So when it's time to write that first draft, lock the doors to your creative castle and keep the editor out!
