When two best friends from Daytona Beach, Val and Theo, move to the Big Apple, Theo leaves behind the love of his life, Julia, and Val swears he'll never fall in love.  Surprise, surprise, they both fall for the same girl in New York.  Sylvia, an up-and-coming actress, loves Val, but Theo won't stop trying to cut his friend out. To make matters worse, her mother, who also happens to be Val's agent, is determined that she should marry the already successful Skip - whom she despises. Just when Theo has managed to get both lovers thrown out of the house, Julia arrives, disguised as a boy, to find out why her lover hasn't been writing.  Harrowing misadventures on the streets of New York ensue, but in the tradition of Shakespearean farce, all's well that ends well in this modern comedy loosely based on the Bard's Two Gentlemen of Verona.
