Comedy. 40-50 minutes. 2 males, 10-16 females, 6 either (12-24 perforrmers possible). Suitable for middle school as well as high school actors, but appropriate for all ages. Based on an Italian folktale, the play centers around what Italians love best: food and family. Amid an array of colorful, quirky, emotional characters, two children save a magical dove and learn up close and personal about the meaning of famiglia. Set in a lively marketplace in Renaissance Italy, the play is fast-paced, lively, with moments of great silliness and sweetness.
